Why become a host

Hosting is a great way to bring people together. If you enjoy starting plans, picking a spot and setting a good atmosphere, you’ll feel right at home here. And if you ever think “I’d love to do that” or “I’d like to check out that place, and others probably would too”, that’s exactly what hosting is for.

Who can become a host

Anyone over 25 who is responsible, reliable, constructive and a positive force in our community. Someone who genuinely aligns with our community values.

Your primary motivation for organizing Socials should be to build community, enjoy yourself, meet interesting people, share your interests, make new friends, enjoy activities with others, or even network professionally in a natural way.

If your main aim is to promote a business, make money, or drive customers to a venue, then CitySocializer probably isn’t the right fit. CS is built around personal connections. We don't discourage you from talking about your work, and we’re not against professional networking, but hosting cannot be driven by a sales agenda.

Why this matters: social dynamics change when money enters the picture. Ask yourself this: would it feel comfortable if a close friend earned money from meeting you? It changes the relationship. We want CS to be a low pressure, agenda free space where adults can meet simply because it’s enjoyable, relaxed and interesting.

We absolutely support your personal and professional growth and we hope you get advice, support and new opportunities from other CS members. The only boundary is that making money cannot be the driving reason to host.

How to Become a Host

  1. Make sure your profile is complete: name, clear face photo, city.
  2. Send us a message in Chat Support saying you want to become a host.
  3. We’ll share a phone number so you can reach the admins through WhatsApp or SMS. This gives you a direct line for support, nuance, questions and anything you need.
  4. After a few interactions over text or a short call, we activate hosting on your account and you can get started.

Hosting should be easy

Hosting on CitySocializer should feel like texting your friends and saying “let's do something”. We work hard to keep the platform simple, fast and supportive. If anything gets in your way as a host, tell us. A bug, a slow page, a missing feature, anything. That direct line of communication exists for a reason.

What does it actually take to host a Social?

Our priority is that you enjoy the Social as much as the attendees. Hosting is straightforward: create the Social, add a poster, write a clear description, pick the date and time, choose a location that works for you.

Hosts are VIPs in CitySocializer. You bring the ideas, you pick the venue, you welcome the group, and you set the tone. We take none of this for granted. We’re genuinely grateful for your time, energy and the care you bring to the community.
